The Lou Frey Institute at UCF is pleased to announce the topic for the upcoming fall symposium will be The Federal Budget: Making Tough Choices.
As a reminder, the Frey Institute pays for and provides charter buses that seat 55 people to transport you, your students and chaperones to UCF as well as provides lunch for everyone. The charter buses are scheduled to arrive at UCF 15 minutes prior to the start of the event.
The event will be held on September 29th, 9:15 a.m. – 2:00 p.m at the UCF Fairwinds Alumni Center on the UCF Campus. In addition to a panel discussion by five former members of Congress, we will be running the Concord Coalition’s budget simulation, Principles and Priorities. To make the simulation a multigenerational learning experience, we’ve also invited the members of UCF’s Learning Institute for Elders and will have two adults at each table with the students. Attached is the agenda.
Seating is limited for this event, so attendance will be on a first reply basis and your ability to fill a bus of 55. Once you have confirmed your attendance, I will work with you to make the arrangements for your charter bus. If you would like to join us, please reply to Laura.Stephenson@ucf.edu ASAP.
