As a country, we rely on teachers to assume a variety of roles and responsibilities. Perhaps this has particularly been the case this past week. We want to know what questions, concerns, or ideas they have brought with them to their learning community and how you have chosen to respond.
You are invited to participate in a research study. The purpose of this research study is to understand how teachers are responding to the 2016 presidential election outcomes in their classrooms and schools. For that reason, we will be surveying teachers from across the country. We are asking you to complete a brief questionnaire (approximately 20 minutes). If you are willing to participate, our questionnaire will ask about your background (e.g. age, race, years in the classroom), as well as your experience in your classroom since the presidential election. There are no foreseeable risks associated with this project, nor are there any direct benefits to you. This is an entirely anonymous questionnaire, and so your responses will not be identifiable in any way. All responses are confidential, and results will be kept under lock and key. Your participation is voluntary, and you may withdraw from this project at any time. This study is being conducted by Beth Sondel, who can be reached at 412-648-7305 or email@example.com, if you have any questions.
